Week 1 Day 2

Today was productive I spent the day with my good friend Seth Himes of Highwater Pictures, we went bank shopping to find a place to keep our funds for the new movie Chasing Daylight! after that we stayed at Cutters Point Coffee in Hawks prairie, awesome coffee and great panini sandwiches.I worked on my ParaBracelet website and got a few things changed, hopefully for the better! Kenton Mattos stopped by and we prayed over him before he went to his job interview and Eric Mathews made a guest appearance, it was great to brain storm with some great guys today(I could get used to hangin out like this).

Week 1 Day 1

Well today is week 1 day 1 of my new beginning, I have to come up with a game plan to keep myself from getting distracted, so I am writing out my daily to do list, I will post it later on. today I have to go to Port Orchard for court, My daughter Makenna would like to change her name, I'm not ready for this development but we will keep pressing forward!(a little while later) she decided that she wouldn't change her name without my blessing so as it turns out I didn't need to be their! oh well! I got allot done today, I went to work source in Tumwater and registered for unemployment and spoke to a Veterans Retraining counselor, found out some awesome news about returning to school(again I will keep you posted as to what I might do). I am very happy to have such a loving and supporting wife, thank you Katy!

Sunday 2 Oct 2011

Today Katy comes home, and I am so excited! I woke the girls up early so they could come and help me set-up at church. we got there at 6:45 and started setting up at 7:00 they were amazing and great little helpers. The message for today was great and I felt just a little convicted. I was on the prayer team today and Voluntold Kenton to join me in my wife's absence. after church the girls and I came home and cleaned the house for about 7 hours (sssshhhhh, don't let Katy know)she thinks I always keep the house clean! Katy got home at around 10:30 and she was looking amazing if I don't say so myself! It was wonderful to feel complete again!

Saturday 1 Oct 2011

I had a great time watching them play(man if I could just tap in to there natural energy source). all in all it was a super duper day! After soccer the Himes and Mattos family's joined us at Inferno's in lacy to chow down on some amazing pizza! and then we rested for a couple of hours before heading to the Living Water movie night, 390 men watched Courageous and rose to the challenge of leading our families and being better fathers(it was a life changing experience and I highly recommend it.

Last Day of Employment

Well the end has finally come. My last day of work has ended with my final paycheck in hand! I would like to say that I am a little saddened by this but, I am extremely optimistic and eager to see what the Lord has in store for me and my family. today was fairly easy and nothing out of the ordinary happened, it was all quiet on the home front(so to speak). I have a great referral letter from my ex-boss and I have found out that their are allot of programs offered by the VA to assist in my transition. I think that what I am most anticipating is the return of my wife from her Zonta meeting, I cant wait until she returns to comfort me with he love and affection, she should be home on Sunday night! tomorrow morning is the Men's Breakfast and then the movie Courageous in the evening, this should be awesome!
Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory!

The Day After

Today started off great even though I woke up late, I had a great attitude going into work today, but it slowly started to deteriorate as the day progressed. It seems as though there is a secret at work and the people that don't have a job after Friday are being left out of the loop, I know that it is probably the enemy playing mind games with me but it is a feeling never the less! Today I packed up my belongings and purged my computer of all the junk I have amassed over the last 3 years; and I realized that for the first time since February 1995 I would not have access to a military installation! Wow, that is a trip! the prognosis for the day is(drum roll please, DDDDD)
I am still embracing the loss of my job and expectant for what the lord has in store for me! only I can change my attitude and yes I need to work on that! tomorrow is my last day I am supposed to receive my final check in paper form and then the next chapter of my life will Begin. It will be hard to say good by to some of the people I work with but I feel a sense of calm as I think about the last minute details of my departure...what will God have for me!
Psalm 40:5 Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.
